The developers have started work stage two of our estate, I will make the most of it noise wise , can't wait till they start building more houses in our street, I am busy track laying , keep the good work up . Tony from down under Hi tony! The white stuff is simply smoothing filler. Otherwise the bridge consists of Styrodur and weatherproof MDF. ThomasI
The embankment is "heaped up", with a gradient of exactly 2%.
Allegheny1600
Hi Thomas, It’s nice to see progress happening and to hear the bridge problem may soon be resolved. I wish you well. John
ThomasI
Hello everybody! The next bridge has been built, but it would have been easier if I had already taken into account its construction four years ago. Well .... 🙄🤔😎😂 Regards Thomas
ThomasI
I recovered the bridge that was smashed by the cat. By cannibalizing some of the segments that were most severely damaged, the rest could be easily repaired. In addition, the embankment was built a little further. Unfortunately, the weather is pretty bad for May, so I'm not really making any headway.
ThomasI
The bad weather is finally over. The coldest May in 30 years here on the Rhine. Now I'm going to continue building the garden layout
Clay Mills Junction
There were a few weather records broken in the UK in May too I believe. I'm waiting on Mick's weather report for the month, but he's been very quiet of late so hoping everything's OK with him. Anyway, let's hope June brings more opportunities to get out into the garden and progress /play on our railways.

Everything's fine with me Barry but apologies to everyone for my lack of input recently (and also my lack of weather updates!) I'll post further details on my thread in a day or so.

The fake rock integrates really nicely with the real stones (if I'm looking at it correctly). Impressive work.

ThomasI
Despite the continued rainy weather, at least two bridges were installed.
ThomasI
If you think I'm crazy with my HSL in the garden, look at this from China: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV14y4y1i7Ju/?spm_id_from=333.788.recommend_more_video.-1&fbclid=IwAR3wmMratiwjRG7RBRZ0foTkjICs9Q-nJ_aAIzIRKdBnrfoupCCHYK_fUyI https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV17b4y1f7hh/?spm_id_from=autoNext
Clay Mills Junction
I never realised that China used Siemens Velaro units. High Speed in the garden isn't crazy, high speed on a 3m x 2m board indoors would be crazy. 🤣

The Rhine has a lot of flooding, but there is no danger. The continuous rain also stopped so that I could continue building.
