Cat litter for ballast???

Recommended Posts

I'm not fighting the cat for it!!!!!

Her litter isn't suitable any way its like long crumbly sticks .

Many litters are dried clay based which means if you try to glue it down it'll mush up.

Not heard of cat litter being used, its a bit corse and designed to soak up liquid so may not be any use outside. I belive old school modelers used to use budgie seed, again unless you want to feed the birds not much use outside.

Thanks guys. Our cat uses a product called Catsan. It's quite small and doesn't go mushy when wet. I don't blame you not wanting to fight the cat Q! Ours is a house cat and doesn't go out ( Er indoors thinks he'll get pinched!! He's a pedigree Ragdoll ) but he's still a handful when he's " on one"!!:lol::lol::lol:

A cheaper alternitive may be Spill Dry, the stuff used by garages to soak up oil. Its the same stuff as cat litter and may be cheaper. Was told by the distributor once that they used the same stuff in differant bags and differant prices.
