mick
BACHMANN 39-001 BR MK1 SK COACH TWIN PACK WORKS TEST TRAIN BLUE & GREY WEATHERED One of the most realistic examples of factory applied weathering I have seen to date. They're still a bit too clean in my eyes but this is a great base from where to begin. Note the little patches in attempts at touching up the blue bodyside paintwork on the lower sides of the coach. EngineDriver
Hi Mick, they are very good, something a bit different, I like that. As I recall there used to be an old blue/grey coach stabled at various locations in and around Donny station (I think it was a Full Brake) the last time I saw it was in the West yard. I can't remember when it was but I'm pretty sure its gone now. I am always in and around Donny as I drive for Northern, but as ususal you tend not to take much notice after a while. ba14eagle
Mick I am very impressed with the weathering on these vehicles - it would be nice if Bachmann could do a slightly toned down version of the roof weathering on the rest of their Mk1 coaches - its an area that I really struggle with when I weather my own vehicles. Do you know if there are any plans for any more of the works test train to be issued? - it would be a shame if they left everyone in limbo by just doing 2 coaches from this train.... I don't know Iain. I think these days they test the water before making any firm commitments, which is understandable I suppose.
