cleanerg6e
Although not a member of this forum I don't know if any of you knew of the OO gauge layout "Tetley's Mills. It's creator Dave Shakespeare was recently diagnosed with cancer. Reading on the RMweb forum he had recently built a new house and was in the planning stage for a new large OO layout when the cancer diagnosis proved positive. The post on RMweb was dated 26th of January 2013 and at the time Dave's life expectancy was thought to be short. Roy.
ba14eagle
Such sad news about a great layout builder. I am sure the likes of ModelRail will keep us informed of any future developments.
cleanerg6e
I've just emailed someone at Model Rail to find out on the present condition of Dave Shakespeare and apparently he has secondary liver cancer. The early prognosis said he had only months or weeks to live but they've now stepped back from that and he's under going chemotherapy as "they" believe there is a chance he can be cured. He is no longer contemplating selling all his railway stock and has returned to designing his new layout. Roy.
