mick
Unless I've overlooked something, I believe this is my very first Dapol locomotive purchase. Product number 4D-003-000 depicts the new class 52 locomotive D1005 Western Venturer in BR blue livery and with full yellow ends. It is photographed on top of the viaduct and is straight out of the box without any additional detail parts being fitted. You'll notice too that the etched name and number plates supplied with the loco have also yet to be fitted.
cleanerg6e
I like that '52' Mick and although I've never been a fan of the BR blue era the loco looks very impressive in that livery. I have a Heljan 52 and it's my heaviest loco. I will in due course replace the wheels on it with the new type they're now fitting to their models and I'll do my Hymek at the same time. I know when Model Rail magazine tested the 0 gauge Heljan 'Hymek' it weighed in at 3 kgs. Roy.
Riddles
Will you be fitting a sound decoder? If so, do tell us which one you use and if we could hear one on You-tube.............. I'm waiting for Western Courier, specially commissioned by the owners. Dave W
