chris
Rails has got the EWS Managers Train Pack on offer at £115, it's also at £130 at Model Zone. I've been very very tempted to buy it, but for reasons best know to hornby they decided to sell the train pack with a Class 67, a DVT and two MK3's. The prototype has three coaches but the MK3 Buffett is sold separately and is basically sold out, everywhere. I'm not keen on the prototype. The livery come across as something designed by a committee with a split vote so the coaches are one colour and the driving cars another. So I guess the price, and the fact that I've always liked the design of the DVT (the Hornby model is excellent) which has made it so tempting. That said, when I add on P&P, the extra coach (+P&P) and a couple of chips I'm looking at £180 so not so cheap after all.
chris
Finally found the extra coach in Model Zone, Manchester. Was very tempted to buy it (I could always sell it) seen as Rails still have the pack. But don't have the cash at the moment so left it on the shelf. traingeekboy
I'd say if it's not exactly what you want, I'd hold off. I noticed at one point my collection blossomed with things I didn't really like that much or use that much. Do you have a picture of this train? I really have no idea what it is. chris
Take a look at this http://www.toton-rail.co.uk/fullsize/82146sut.jpg The attraction is that it's a go anywhere train, so would fit in on any modern day layout.

traingeekboy
I suppose you have to ask yourself if it's THE train you want right now. I agree that it's possible to extend a collection too far.
