mick
I don't intend doing a review of these wagons as there will no doubt be plenty of 'YouTubers' doing exactly that but I will upload the following photos taken shortly after delivery of my own wagons today. If anyone has questions regarding these wagons then I'll try my best to help. Apologies for the first two photos as the lens on my phone camera seems to have steamed up slightly - it takes some time to adjust to the temperature drop up in the attic (bit like me really). The Accurascale PFA wagons are sold in sets of 3 wagons, each set being nicely presented in a sturdy box. These wagons represent the Cawoods container wagons and I have fond memories of these being loaded at Gascoigne Wood with coal destined for Ireland. The wagons have a cast chassis which is nice and heavy for a small two axle wagon and there is a wealth of fine detail. The ends of each wagon have a factory fitted air brake pipe which is a nice touch but I haven't checked to see whether or not it can be placed into the open position. Will look great on the end wagon especially as there's a set of instanter couplings included in the pack but within the train it may not look right with all the pipes closed (and not even connected of course!) The containers are excellent and the whole wagon is just as I remember them All they need now is dirtying up a bit and loading with some nice household coal. Well worth the wait!
chris
They are excellent. I'm looking away now, before temptation gets the better of me.
mick
I received my order of British Gypsum PFA's from Accurascale today so I'll add a few photo's of the containers showing the different liveries and branding. The first thing that struck me when I opened the box was that the blue colour isn't how I remember them. It seems a bit pale from what I recall but there again I rarely saw them in pristine condition as they were always well weathered and often covered in a coating of Gypsum dust and overspill. I'm sure once they've had a bit of weathering applied they'll be absolutely fine. Accurascale have modelled a few different containers, some without branding and others with different types of branding, as well as containers in the original white livery.
