  1. Well I think most of the rolling stock they sell her is English (Hornby). There are a couple of small companies doing Irish rolling stock, but I'm not particularly interested in diesel trains
  2. Thanks for the suggestions. Post-Brexit buying from the UK has become ridiculously expensive for some things. I'll see if I can find any sane options locally, but from what I've seen there isn't a whole lot.
  3. Apart from eBay are there any "good" places to buy secondhand / used track / trains etc?
  4. Thanks for the warm welcome. Unfortunately my house is a dormer, so there's pretty much no attic space. Yes of course OO gauge. I'd already done a bit of research and realised that it was of course possible, and watched a bunch of videos on youtube. At the moment I'm still in the "research" phase. Also trying to get a few bits and pieces together to actually build it out. One of the problems right now is that wood and most other building materials are insanely expensive. I suspect I'll be looking at architectural salvage, but I'm absolutely hopeless with DIY, so it'll be kept fairly simple! thanks again Michele
  5. As per the subject line - I'm based in Ireland. Exploring options in order to build an outdoor layout of some kind, mainly as I have the space out there and I don't indoors.
