Has anyone seen the prices of the new release Bachman models, £72 for a coach nearly £200 for a C class steam loco. Need equity release to offord them at lose prices.
when hattons bought out their class 66, bachman bought the price of their's down so it is 5 quid cheaper. So they are basically saying 'oh yeah, hattons have bought out a better model at a better price, we price our things stupidly high so we can bring the price down for ours to be cheaper, but still make profit.'

No, I didn't forget about the pulling power - I just never got the chance to run it because the loco did nothing but wobble from side to side. I also got the sound-fitted version which believe me, after all the pre-release hype, was nothing to write home about. In all a bad experience and one I won't be repeating anytime soon.
Which begs the question, how come you don't know the size of OO gauge track, the best way to purchase it, how to create gradients, or 'how to start' an oo gauge railway, and yet you can offer such a scientific assessment of the Hattons class 66?
i watch youtube.

Hi,
I have a smallish back garden (about 23'x14' useable) that is mostly grass and is completely level. I don't have anywhere inside I could put up a permanent layout so I was thinking about running a single line around the garden.
I'm in the Midlands, not far from the place I've used as a forum name and thought I'd say hi rather than signing up and lurking. I don't want to be the kind of person who asks loads of questions without ever getting serious about doing it as that wastes people's time and I know there are quite a few challenges to building outside. So I thought I'd sign up so I could have a good look at the forum and thoroughly research before I decide.I'd be modelling 80's to 90's Northern Scotland.
Thanks,Barry.
if you own the fences you could put a viaduct up

so i should find a board around 12cm wide?

You forget the pulling power of the loco, they can pull over a newton. one of the highest without traction tyres.

nice little 040 there!
-
yes that is what i mean. quick question, what ts the width of the oo gauge track?
-
what is the best way to start?
Decking board or Concrete?

use decking as it will be easier to nail dorn the track. you can kill two birds with one stone by using the nails to keep the track and felt dovn
