mick
We stopped off at Ribblehead viaduct on the 9th June and whilst taking the dog for a short walk we were lucky to capture this Colas Rail Freight liveried class 60 locomotive number 60087 'CLIC Sargent' working a lengthy trainload of cut timber. It is seen here just before passing over the viaduct heading towards Settle.
mick
I don't go out with the sole intention of photographing trains but during our visit to Ribblehead Station on 24th July 2015 this 4-car class 158, headed by 158910, entered the station bound for Leeds. mick
It was a very pleasant day today and so we ventured up the walkway alongside Ribblehead viaduct as far as Blea Moor signalbox which is about as far as our little dog can go these days. On our return this class 158 passed by approaching the viaduct as it made its way towards Leeds. The trailing car is numbered 158817.
